Pro Flight Simulator Review- The Closest Thing to Flying a Real Airplane

Flight simulators have always been very popular video games. I remember when I first bought Top Gun for my Nintendo Entertainment System. I was up all night playing that game. Flight simulators have came along ways since then but many of them still lack some very important feature such as the variety of aircraft that you can fly and the number and detail of airports that you can land at. However, there is one flight simulator that is about as real as real can get. It’s called Pro Flight Simulator and it is said to be the most realistic flight simulator ever created.

What is Pro Flight Simulator?

Pro Flight Simulator is a flight sim game that will allow you to fly over 200 different aircraft all around the world. It is the perfect solution for those who want to learn how to fly a plane but can’t afford to take lessons and also for licensed pilots who would like to improve their flight skills without having to get into an airplane as well. It is compatible with both Macs and PC’s and supports dual monitors for those who want to experience the full flying effect.

What Makes Pro Flight Simulator so Special?

The success of any flight simulator game depends entirely on its realism. This is where Pro Flight Simulator dominates the competition. The realism of this software has made it the flight simulator software of choice for many professional flight schools and it has even been used on different television shows. It has several amazing features that make it the most realistic flight sim at this time. Here is a list of features that are exclusive to the suite.

Synchronized Real World Time- Depending on where you want to fly, the time in the game will be exactly the same time it is in the real location. Let’s say that you want to take off from Chicago and in real life, its 2 p.m. in Chicago and its raining. When you taxi down the runway at the virtual Chicago airport, it will be 2 p.m. and raining in the video game. The video game conditions actually match the real world condition no matter what airport or city you want to leave from or fly to.
The details are so precise that even the Sun, Moon, and stars are lined up at their correct positions depending on what time of day it is and they continue to move as time elapses. Even the seasons are taken into account so if you happen to fly to the north pole in the summertime, you will end up experiencing 24 hour days. The virtual world in Flight Simulator Pro mimics our real world almost perfectly.

Highly Detailed World Scenery- The extreme level of realism continues with the highly detailed landscape and terrain that you will see when you leave your chosen airport. Every detail has been included all the way down to being able to see the headlights on cars on major highways as you fly overhead and even ground lighting that identifies heavily populated urban areas. You will also be able clearly identity rivers, lakes, railroads, cities, towns and more and they look exactly the way that they look in the real world. Included with the game is a small area sound San Francisco, but you have the option of adding additional scenery packages as you like. The entire world map is available so you will have the opportunity to fly anywhere in the world.

Over 20,000 Different Airports- Just about every airport is included in the real world map. Each airport includes all of its landmark features and lighting. The runways all have their correct markings and placement, and even the taxiways are included with the airports that have them. You will even be able to notice slopes in the runways that have them as well. Even the directional airport lighting will change intensity depending on how your view changes.

120 + Aircraft to Fly- You will never run out of different types of aircraft that you can fly. Whether you want to soar through the skies in a Concord (v2.4) or take the Eurocopter EC 135 for a whirl, you will have the ability to choose from between 120 different airplanes, helicopters, and gliders. Each aircraft is fully detailed all the way down to the cockpit and instrument panel. All of the instruments behave just like the actual instruments for that actual aircraft. If there is an instrument or system failure, it will occur exactly as it would in a real life situation.
And if you happen to be flying a helicopter, the only part the experience that has not been included is the handling of the engine and some of the over stresses. All other details and experiences have been included.

Even Aircraft Carriers are Included - You can even experience the thrill of being a military pilot and learn how to take off and land from an air craft carrier. ProFlight Simulator  currently includes two aircraft carriers, the Nimitz and the Eisenhower. These simulated carriers are fully equipped with working catapults, arrester wires, TACAN and FLOLS, and elevators. You also have the option of either flying the Seahawk, Seafire, or A4F. You can even raise the elevator on the carrier, taxi your plane onto it, and lower it so that you can park your plane in the hanger.

Breathtaking Display Options

The more realistic the overall view, the more you will feel like you are actually flying a plane. With ProFlight Simulator , you have the option of connecting multiple instances of the program together so that you can see different views of your simulation by using a very flexible input/output subsystem. This will allow you to use multiple displays that you can set up to show you various views of your actual flight.
There are also many more features that are included in Proflightsimulator including:
Air to Air Refueling…
Autopilot mode…
The ability to record and playback your flight…
And more…
When it comes to experiencing the ultimate degree of realism, This is the only flight simulator that has all of these powerful features.

Bonuses Included With Your Purchase

You will also receive three bonuses when you purchase P.F.S. These bonuses include:

Pro Flight Simulator 2012 - My Review

Pro flight simulator is a flight simulation game which was first released in Nov. 2010. This game has a huge number of unique to the game features including being able to fly a large variety of aircraft from the old  airplanes such as the old Wright Flyer to modern  jets,  fighters, helicopters and gliders. At the time of this writing, you have 150 plus aircraft to choose from.

scenery around the world. You have over 20,000 real airports to fly to and from in pro flight simulator. You can fly from Texas to Japan if you'd like too, or choose to land in places such as California, Germany,or Rome.

But, before you start on your journey, you  first need to figure out the basics of flying. You will enjoy getting used to the cockpit , learn the  controls and the flight indicators and understand what they mean. After you get a  understanding of all this you'll need to master take off and also landing the aircraft so you wont be crashing!

If you're in a hurry to get started, you can skip these steps and start the game in the air. You really should take the time and learn the take off/landing procedures in my opinion ,it's just more realistic that way, pro flight simulator lets you hone you're skills and learn to be a better pilot, as close to a real pilot as possible.

Once you have learned these steps and started your tour of flying around the universe, you will notice that Pro Flight Simulator also accounts for  weather patterns. So it may start to rain or cloud up on ya with low visibility. At times you might encounter lightning storms , or big wind , and turbulence , you just never know.

There will be times of calm, good weather and perfect visibility also letting you  enjoy the large variety of  models of scenery from all around the world. The ever changing  weather conditions makes the pro flight simulator game extremely realistic while your piloting skills are always tested by  weather conditions.

Time also changes in the game. Pro Flight Simulator accounts for time changes, so while flying you may notice night turning to day or vice versa.I love my Pro Flight Simulator , and hope you will too.

The Cessna 172 In Pro Flight Simulator

Being the most produced airplane in history its no wonder the Cessna 172 Skyhawk is amongst the most popular aircraft flown today. The Cessna 172 first saw flight back nin 1955 and is still being produced to this day so it has certainly stood the test o time. With more than 50,000 produced and still counting the plane has seen its fair share of competition, but the majority just come and go and 172 flies on.

Early model 172's looked a lot like the Cessna 170 with exeption that the 172 had a straight tail, today the 172 has a more swept back tail section. Three engines that are easily installed include 160hp, 180hp and a 210 hp engine. With seating for four a pilot can take a few friends up for a casual tour of skies without being all cramped up and packed in.

Way back in 1958 Dec. 4 a couple of fine gents being John Cook and Robert Timm took the Cessna 172 on a nearly 65 day cancer fund raising adventure. On the run fuel was delivered while in flight from truck on the ground by pulling a hose up and pumping on the fuel into a specially built fuel tank. They say that it took two people just to drive the truck one steering and one working the gas pedal , I have to imagine this would be quit comical to watch. Supplies and water water where delivered in simiualr fashion, from a ground vehical in the desert pulled up with a bucket and rope. They completed their mission and landed back where they started at McCarran airfield in Las Vegas NV in 1959 Febuary 4th.

They decided to end the flight because of wear on the engine after being run continuously for over 1,500 hours, the plane could barely climb back up after refueling by now due to pushing the engine well over it's limitation's. This fine aircraft is still in existance today and proudly on display at the McCarran Airport.

Their have been around 25 or so variants of the 172 over all these years. Some are being used in the Military as training planes and are also used by police and other government agencies also. The lead singer of the Cricketts David Box was killed in 172 crash, Rocky Marciano was also killed in a 172 and in 2002 a high school student stole a Cessna 172 and crashed it into bank killing himself.

The plane is roughly 27 feet long, 8 feet high with a wing span of just over 36 feet. Emty the lightweight aircraft comes in at 1,690 lds, with a gross weight of about 2,500. With it's two blade propeller and Lycoming engine the plane cruises along at about 140 mph and climbs at 720 feet per minute up to a 13,500 service ceiling, max speed is 188 mph.

The Cessna 172 is a joy to fly and actually one of the safest also. The 172 is also a very easy plane to fly with its simple desighn, making it one the best training planes available. If you can't afford to buy your own or you simply would rather not, then I suggest you take a look at Pro Flight Simulator, it is a very fine peice of software that installs on most any home computer system, there are other flight simulators out there besides Proflight but be aware. Most are not that realistic and have few options and very limited aircraft availibility, Proflightsimulator is the best flight Sim on the market and it has over 140 aircraft that you can fly anytime you like, so get up there and have some fun.

ProFlight Simulator Cessna 150L

If you are looking to find a simulator that gets you as close to real-life flying as possible, the Pro Flight Sim is definitely what you want to look more into. There are various different programs out there that do not even come close, but with the Cessna 150L you always know you are getting the most realistic, detailed experience.
The Cessna 150L airplane is a two-set tricycle gear general aviation airplane. With the ProFlight Simulator program you get the chance to try a home flight simulator that is as close to the real thing as you can get. Known as the best flight Sim, with Proflightsimulator you will have the experience of your life, feeling like you are actually flying the Cessna 150L for yourself. In fact, it is known as offering the most realistic Cessna flying experience compared to all other similar programs.

With the Pro Flight Simulator, you get to make your travel dreams a reality, with a simple flight simulator that recreates the experience for you and truly brings it to life. It has been built to be as close to real life as possible, feeling just like the Cessna 150L. One of the most important similarities between the two lie in the courses of the sun, moon, stars, and planets. They all follow their correct courses through the sky, offering you the most realistic experience overall.
As well, the program responds immediately to control inputs, just as the real Cessna does. You feel as though you are actually at the controls yourself, going through this experience firsthand in the real world. You may even forget that you are actually using a simulator once you get started. You feel in control and even have the option of taking it one step further and recreating graphics. Whether you want to change the terrain to your liking, add in new airplane models, or otherwise make adjustments, you can do as you please.
If you want a program that makes you feel like you truly are really flying the Cessna, this program is one that is well worth checking out for yourself. It is nearly exact in almost every way, and these similarities cannot be overlooked. You are only as limited as your imagination allows you to be.

Pro Flight Simulator – Cirrus SR-20

The Cirrus SR-20 is a composite four-seat airplane that is best known for a unique safety feature designed to safely bring down its passengers should a midair collision or any other disaster occur that renders the plane untenable for flight—the airframe parachute. This well thought out feature is capable of safely bringing to ground level the plane and its passengers. The SR-20 seats four adults and one child and is powered by a 200hp, six-cylinder fuel-injected Continental engine that has a cruise speed of 150-155 knots. This light aircraft is highly fuel efficient at 12 gallons an hour. For slightly more than $300,000, you get to own this remarkable plane that comes complete with synthetic vision, Garmin G1000 glass cockpit, Garmin autopilot complete with a flight director, on-screen approach plates; satellite weather and basic terrain warning.
If you are still far away from getting your pilot’s license or even raising the $300,000, you can still get a feel of the plane through  Pro flight simulator. This home flight simulator game is among the best in its class. Apart from offering you a wide range of planes, gliders and helicopters to choose from, this flight simulator will provide you with an experience that you will have a hard time telling apart from the real thing. The SR-20 is among 20 planes specifically covered by the Proflight Simulator.

The Garmin G1000 glass cockpit looks exactly like the real thing. The cockpit is full of trademark Cirrus avionics which gives you a good feel of the real fully-integrated aircraft. There are flying instruments, gauges, switches and knobs. The best flight Sim for the Cirrus SR-20 has two flying mode. These are the full view and cockpit modes. You can opt to fly the plane from the outside using this home flight simulator and get a stunning view of the plane and the ground scenery below or fly it using the cockpit mode and get a more realistic flying experience.

The pro flight simulator is considered to be the best flight Sim in the business due to its huge airport selections. There are small and short runways suitable for the Cirrus SR-20 as well as huge airports that can accommodate a 747. The airports are complete with hangars and runways looking just like they do in real life. Perhaps the vivid scenery offered to virtual pilots of the Cirrus SR-20 by the simulator is the best feature yet of this simulator. You get to fly over oceans, mountains and deserts. You can also change the weather settings to cruise through cold snowy weather as well as rainy and warm sunny days.

Pro Flight Simulator-Cessna 550 Citation II

Learning to fly a plane requires hard work and effort and it can be quite expensive. Most aviation experts now recommend the use of  Pro Flight Simulator for basic flight training and on/offline learning. These home flight simulator programs are an easy way for users to learn how to fly a plane like the Cessna 550 Citation II as quickly as possible. Currently, this model plane is especially designed for short trips and has twin Turbofan engines for more power. The plane is designed to carry a crew of 2 and 12 passengers.

Can Proflightsimulator train a candidate on how to fly the Cessna 550 Citation II?
Yes it can as the Proflight Simulator is a professional learning tool with the latest technical information uploaded on to it by the software technicians. Apart from the Cessna, the program has more than 150 different plane models that the users can switch between. The list of aircrafts ranges right from ancient models like the 1903 Wright to the latest jumbo jets being used in commercial and passenger aviation. These home flight simulators are also designed to be completely compatible with your home computer. You can download the program from the CD and start using the program immediately. For trainees who want to save on flight time, training can be started on  Pro Flight Simulator at home. The software can accurately mimic the working of the Cessna plane and provide a variety of terrains, weather conditions and airports for the trainee pilot to experience. The simulation also teaches the trainee how to coordinate with Air Traffic Control and other planes whirring about on the horizon. All flight data is also stored online and users are expected to have a certain amount of flight time on one level of the Sim before they are graduated to higher levels. Please note that the software program is incredibly detailed and is specifically designed to train a new pilot on flying techniques. Once basic operating knowledge, equipment skills and procedures are learnt, the trainee can then move on to a real Cessna for flight training.

Which is the best flight Sim for learning to fly?
Ideally, Proflight simulator can teach a trainee the basics of flying. However, hands-on training in a real Cessna is essential. We suggest you learn the basics of flying with the simulation and then move on to real time training.

Piloting The Hornet Autogyro In ProFlight Simulator

The Pro Flight Simulator is the next best thing you can do in becoming a true plane pilot. This application is considered by numerous players as the best flight Sim because it offer players with a virtual experience unlike no other. Never has there been a Proflight Simulator this close to reality.

This simulator offers more than 100 types of aircraft. It is a small wonder why this simulator app has so many subscribers. The Hornet Autogyro is one of the most notable aircraft in this application.

This ultra light gyro plane is an exciting plane that is simple to assemble and maneuver. The excitement ends there because there are a lot of risks in flying this plane mainly because it has no protective framework like normal aircraft. You need to take flight lessons from professionals in this kind of aircraft before you can operate the Hornet Autogyro plane.

With pro flight simulator, you can never go wrong. The menu entries in the Proflight Simulator entitles you to a chance to select the Hornet Auto gyro plane. There are choices for sophisticated aircraft, war crafts, and helicopters with a cockpit full of many complicated buttons, switches, and gauges.

The real Hornet machine has a few keys that include the start key, the switch for the magneto, and the full power key among others. These are all included in the best flight Sim. Likewise, there is a set of keys assigned for these functions.

As in a real flight situation, you are free to choose the exact place in the world you want to be, the weather, as well as the time of day. If you wish, you can choose an airport located anywhere around the globe. Only a Proflightsimulator can give you the total excitement you deserve from riding a Hornet plane minus the injuries and the risks you have to face in real life.

Pro Flight Simulator-Bugatti 100P

If you are looking for a challenge then the Bugatti 100P should be at the top of your to-do list. This in Pro Flight Simulator is so realistic that it feels as if you are flying the real thing. At the time that Ettore Bugatti built the airplane, in the 1930s, it was the latest in cutting edge aviation. Unfortunately the plane never took flight because the Germans marched into Paris. Bugatti carefully disassembled the prototype and stored it. He died before he could see his vision take to the skies. Since then the prototype has been brought to the United States where it is now displayed in the AirVenture Museum. Though it cannot be flown in real life, the next best thing is to fly it on a home flight simulator. Read on for the features of this amazing plane.
The Bugatti 100P was a plane designed to fly at record-breaking speeds. It was projected to be able to travel at speeds as fast as 500 MPH. Bugatti envisioned a plane with his engines and the designs of an aeronautical engineer named De Monge. What the two came up with was typical of everything that Bugatti touched; sleek elegant design with excellent performance.
The plane is characterized by a streamlined design. Both engines are placed behind the cockpit. They are similar to the special engines used in race cars. Its tail is in the shape of a Y and its wings are forward swept. Propellers placed just beneath the elbow of the pilot give it the propulsion it needs. The best flight Sim will allow you to feel the lightness of the plane as you fly it, almost as if you were flying the real thing. Its wing flaps automatically change the wing profile when you need extra lift or less drag. In fact they adjust automatically depending on airspeed and throttle.  Proflight Simulator lets you take out the sports car of airplanes. Fun is guaranteed.

If you have wondered how it feels to fly but are not able to do it in real life, the next best thing is  Proflightsimulator. Flying this way is so realistic it feels like you actually are in the cockpit of a real plane. The Bugatti 100P is the plane to fly if you are up for a challenge. Also, if you have a taste for speed, then this plane is exactly what you need.

Pro Flight Simulator - Dornier Dassault Alpha Jet

When you are playing a home flight simulator, you obviously want the virtual aircraft you fly to be as accurate as possible to the real thing. That is, after all, the main attraction of this sort of software. The best simulators give you the feeling of really flying a range of civilian and military aircraft. In Pro Flight Simulator, the Dornier-Dassault Alpha Jet is one of the most popular models. In just about every way, it is perfectly replicated so that you can have the most realistic experience of flying this wonderful little jet.

Performance

One of the most endearing qualities of the Alpha Jet is its diminutive size and low weight. It is not surprising that the real jet has been chosen as an excellent trainer aircraft for many years. Although it lacks the heavy-hitting capability of the larger military jets, it has even been used in a light strike role. Both training and the light strike role depend on the jet's supreme maneuverability and acceleration, and these two qualities are very accurately represented in Proflight Simulator. Few aircraft quite match the feeling of throwing a small, nimble jet around the sky. While not the fastest jet in the world, it is certainly capable of a burst of speed when needed.

Appearance

Another joyous feature of the best flight sim around is the ability to view the aircraft you are flying with high detail and resolution. As your jet carves through the sky, seeing its fantastic silhouette is one of the delights of Proflight Simulator. Every detail, from the distinctive side and top profiles to the markings on the fuselage are accurately represented.

Using The Alpha Jet

Flying this little jet affords you all kinds of opportunities for fun. With the accurate simulation on offer, you can imagine being a trainee pilot getting his or her first experience in a fast jet, or a seasoned aviator flying strike missions. Either way, Proflight Simulator puts you in the hot seat.

In Summary

The best flight sim on the market is nothing without a great complement of accurately-simulated aircraft. The Dornier-Dassault Alpha Jet is just one of many on offer in Pro Flight Simulator, but its light weight and maneuverability makes it one of the most entertaining and satisfying to fly. With every aspect of its flight envelope simulated precisely, you can know just what it is like to fly the real thing.

Pro Flight Simulator - The Eurocopter EC 135

It is often difficult to log time in a Eurocopter EC 135. The aircraft are lovely to fly, but expensive to get lessons on. If you do wish to learn to fly, you will only have a few chances to get in the air. If you need extra time, it is often best to invest in a home flight simulator. If you have access to the pro flight simulator, you should be able to learn quite a bit about how the craft flies, and even learn some of the skills necessary to fly it.

The first thing that one will notice in a pro flight simulator is that the controls are set up in the exact same manner as the real Eurocopter EC 135. This means that every dial, every button and every lever is laid out in the exact same position as one would find in real life. If you are training to fly the craft, this can be a great way to memorize where everything is in the cockpit without actually having to log time in the helicopter. If not, it still allows you the chance to see how the vehicle actually works.

You may also notice that the controls of the home flight simulator will respond in a manner that is quite similar to a real helicopter. This is because the best flight sim on the market actually takes is cues from the real aircraft, and thus is meant to mimic it in every way possible. This means that you can actually log time getting used to the controls without ever leaving the ground. This can be a great way to get ready for a solo flight or a first lesson, and is perhaps one of the best tools available for would-be pilots.

If you choose the proflight simulator, you will have the tools necessary to fly a Eurocopter. Though it may not ever leave the ground, you will get used to the layout of the controls and the responsiveness of the helicopter. It is as close as you can get to really flying without leaving your home, and one of the best teaching tools available. Whether you are a real pilot or a novice that is intending to take a lesson some day in the future, you can get quite a bit of mileage out of a simulator that is actually meant to be faithful to the aircraft.

Pro Flight Simulator - General Dynamics F-16

The name Pro flight Simulator should give it away, but this home flight simulator really is the first choice for professional flyers and amateur pilots alike. When you are not able to get out in the air, you can do nearly the same thing, at home, with this program.

Flying a real General Dynamics F-16 is not in the cards for most of us.  Experiencing the adrenaline and a feel of flying one may be. The Pro Flight Simulator is a full flight simulation computer program that allows you to be in control of your very own F-16. So what are the differences between the two? Not many.
Just like a real Fighter Falcon, this home flight simulator has the same handling and control panels, and maneuverability.

The plane is designed exactly like a real Fighter Falcon. Single engine, multipurpose workhorse, capable of Mach 1 speeds and complex maneuvers, this is a difficult plane to replicate, but it has been done. The program allows you to fly your Falcon over accurate terrain, practice take offs and landings, and even fly with your friends online. The program offers maps and information based on military data, so you can really get in on the action, from your home.

When flying a real plane, you can scan the area as needed, from your cockpit, and the game does not disappoint with its 3D cockpit views. You can practice handling your plane in all kinds of weather and even design your own terrain.  The control panels and cockpits are the same as a real Falcon, down to the thirty-degree angle of the pilot seat. Many pilots and military servicemen actually use this program during training and off time to keep their skills sharp. That’s how lifelike and accurate the program is.

We do not all have the opportunity to fly any airplane, much less a Fighter Falcon, but with this simulator, we have the chance to fly not just an F-16, but over one-hundred and twenty different airplanes and helicopters. So while it may not be an actual F-16, this is the best flight sim to give you that adrenaline pump you get while flying one. Plus, after you land, you can go straight to dinner! Or happily bask in the great feeling of flight. Either way, you will not get any closer to flying an actual General Dynamics F-16 than with ProFlight Simulator downloaded to your home computer.

Pro Flight Simulator Bell 206 JetRanger

Flying is often the dream of many. After all, it provides one with an escape from the Earth's grasp. It is difficult, though, for everyone to get up in the air. Flying lessons are expensive, and even those that can afford such lessons are limited in the time they can spend flying. Fortunately, there are flight simulators that perfectly simulate the controls of aircraft like the Cirrus SR-20 and the Bell 206 JetRanger. These simulators are as close as one can get to being in the air without actually flying, and can provide those that do want to fly with valuable practice time.

Astonishingly, one can learn quite a bit about how to operate a plane from  Pro Flight simulator. A plane like the Cirrus SR-20, for example, has the same control layout in real life as is present on the proflight simulator. This can help those that actually fly the planes to put in valuable practice time in a home flight simulator, and those that wish to familiarize themselves with the controls of the plane before taking lessons to have a bit of extra homework help.

Of course, the Cirrus SR-20 is only one of the aircraft that has controls identical to those available in the best flight sim on the market. The Bell 206 JetRanger helicopter, for example, also has controls identical to those found in the simulator. Though one must admit that a simulator is not exactly the same as flying the aircraft, it is important to note that these simulators are quite useful as practice. If you need to take the time to figure out what each and every button and dial in the cockpit represents, the use of a home simulator is perhaps the best way to do so without racking up expensive bills.

If you wish to fly a Cirrus SR-20, it might be wise to log a few flight hours at home. Take the time to use a home flight simulator, and make sure that you pay attention to how you perform. This may not be the same as going up in the air, but it will provide you with a fair assessment of your abilities. You will then know what to look out for when you are actually flying, and you will have some measure of comfort in the fact that you are familiar with the control scheme of the airplane.

Pro Flight Simulator Robinson R22

The Pro Flight Simulator Robinson R22 is a light weight helicopter and is one the most popular light helicopters and has been for the past 40 years or so. Designed by Frank Robinson The R22 was intended to be an affordable helicopter to purchase and operate and to be very efficient and reliable. The two seater multi purpose light weight first saw flight in 1975 but didn't start main stream production until 79.It was a huge success instantly. Although it is one the cheaper choppers out there its still gonna cost ya a couple hundred grand,  Proflight simulator is the a flight simulator and the R22 and many other aircraft are available for you to play around with at a much lower price point. This is the best flight Sim btw.

The R-22 is a very versatile machine and has been available in all sorts of different configurations, from police units, marine units, to agricultural units. The most powerful of the fleet is the R22 beta 2 and the most common helicopter used for training is the Robinson R22 IFR.

Uses for this machine are numerous but some the more common uses are pilot training, police units, news crew unit's, cow herding and agricultural.

The power is received from a Lycoming flat four piston engine (0360A2B) and comes with horsepower ratings ranging from 124 hp up to the most powerful being the beta 2 at 160 hp detuned to 131hp. The main rotor is a two blade as well as the tail rotor.

The R 22 maximum speed is around 180km.h with an initial climb rate of about 1200 feet per minute. The dry weight is roughly 800 pounds with a maximum take off weight of 1300. The fuselage length is 20 feet 8 inches, main rotor 25 feet 2 inches , which makes the helicopter easy to put on and haul on a trailer making very easy to transport.

This aircraft also has it own T bar control instead of the traditional cyclic stick. The controls are full manual and very sensitive, the helicopter is also very light which means you feel even the slightest bite of wind while flying. The Pro Flight Simulator R22 is no different from the real deal, you will notice how very real this simulation is once you start playing around with the helicopter in it.

Pro Flight Simulator - Antonov An-2

For those people who do not know what a pro flight simulator is, it is a computer program designed to replicate the experience of flying an actual aircraft. These programs can be classified as simulation games, although many of the professional ones are used to teach people the basic skills of lying a real aircraft. The program will offer the player their choice of planes to fly. Many of these are modeled after real airplanes like the Cessna and the Antonov An-2. The Antonov is a single engine bi-plane used to fly over regions with dense foliage.

The plane flying games also provide the player with multiple land areas to use as their background. The PC flight simulator games designed with three dimensional imaging will create a more realistic flying experience by making 3D structures players can actually fly under, through and around. A city landscape could be designed to include skyscrapers and suspension bridges. The ability to maneuver around or through these structures requires skillful use of the games controls. The keyboard controls can be changed to make them more user friendly.

When flying pro flight simulator planes, the options will include changing the camera angle to view the plane from either inside or outside the cockpit. The inside view will provide the player with a full color layout of all the controls found in the craft they have chosen to fly. This view is recommended when using the program as a training tool for teaching students how to fly. An aircraft simulation program can be used in combination with classroom instruction at many flight schools. When the machines involved are replicas of military aircraft, it can be used for military training purposes. Simulations can include heated battles with enemy craft which can include the use of on board weapons.

Anyone interested in learning more about the airplane simulator programs will find reading a pro flight simulator review very helpful. Reviews are written by people who have used the program so they often mention the good and bad aspects of the game. From a entertainment standpoint, the flight simulators allow players to venture into authentically landscaped regions around the world. In the three dimensional environment they can experience the thrill of flying first hand. For those individuals who want to hone their flying skills, these games offer many challenges to sharpen hand eye coordination as well as reflex response time.

Pro Flight Simulator - Antonov An-225

Who would not want to know what it is like to fly the world's biggest airplane. You can find out exactly what it would be like if you have Pro Flight Simulator. Even though the Ukrainian built Antonov An-225 "Mriya" took its maiden flight in 1989, it is still the world's largest airplane by just about any measure. Given that there are only two of these airplanes in existence, flying it, even has an aircraft simulation, is quite a unique experience.

The Antonov An-225 is just one of over 120 Pro Flight Simulator planes available and is just one of many things about this software that is large. It has world-wide scenery available and over 20,000 airports for you to land at.  Night time flying is an entirely new experience with Pro Flight Simulator. It even simulates accurate ground lights from cities and towns all over the world, right down to automobile headlights along major highways.

Pro Flight Simulator is probably one of the most detailed and complete plane flying games that you will find available to the public. Here are some examples of why it is often the choice for teaching flying in pilot schools.  Of all the PC flight simulator games, Pro Flight Simulator has the most detail about airports. For instance, each of the airports does not just have accurate runway markings, they also have very accurate altitude and slope information for those airports.  Because this aircraft simulation has details like runway slope, it makes landing on them a very realistic challenge.

The airplanes included also have an almost obsessive level of detail.  If you haven't played with a flight simulator recently, you can expect that when you select the type of plane, the simulation of that airplane will behave the same as the real one under those conditions.  However, with Pro Flight Simulator you also see a realistic instrument panel for that plane type.  However, this goes beyond just the appearance. If the readings on an instrument on the real airplane lag behind the controls, the simulated instrument will also show the same amount of lag time. It will even accurately simulate systems and instrument failures that can occur.

The features of this program are really too many to include it in a single Pro Flight Simulator review. There are probably thousands of plane flying games out there that very few rise to the level of this one. The ability to land and take off from an aircraft carrier, the ability to link multiple instances of the program together, the ability to change the weather and simulate air-to-air refueling are among the additional features of this software that I haven't delved into. The bottom line is this: if you are the least bit serious about aircraft simulation you need to take a long look at what is arguably the most authentic of all PC flight simulator games.

Pro Flight Simulator - Douglas A4F Skyhawk

Dubbed as the most realistic flight simulation game ever, Pro Flight Simulator has been enjoyed beyond fun and entertainment by enthusiasts. Professional flight schools have begun taking advantage of the simulator as a core learning tool due to its capability to simulate accurately real-time events and environments. A Pro Flight Simulator review even suggests the use of the simulation program on television episodes.

Player Controls

The best flight sim takes the player directly into the action with relatively simple controls playable using the keyboard or a custom joystick. For advanced players, sophisticated avionic controls may also be enabled for a more immersive gameplay. Support for multiple monitors further enhances realistic gameplay.

Realistic flight dynamics also ensure that virtual pilots experience the real challenge of having to maneuver across the varying flying conditions. For best views, three-dimensional cockpit view can also be enabled. For action-packed flying, window view is a more comfortable option.

Environment Settings

The flying environment is programmed to imitate real world details such as weather conditions, time of day, and even the positioning of observable heavenly bodies including the sun, moon and stars. On top of these environment details, ProFlight Simulator also has over 20,000 airport models. Dimensional accuracy of the environment is indeed very plausible.

Comprehensive Feature Set

More than 150 airplanes and helicopters are included in the fleet. ProFlightSimulator planes cover a wide range of fighter jets, passenger aircrafts, and cargo planes as early as the 1903 Wright Flyer. Among the most notable fighter aircraft is the Douglas A4F Skyhawk which was in service since the 1950s. The compact and lightweight design of the Skyhawk is carefully crafted into the simulator. Pro Flight Simulator is one of the best plane flying games to do justice on the ground-attack capabilities of this aircraft.

Pro Flight Simulator Package

While most of the PC flight simulator games are limited to 24-hour instant access and photorealistic sceneries, the Pro Flight Simulator package includes a generous bonus set. The set of bonuses includes the Easy Flight Planner, the Interactive Scene Builder, the Flight Combat Simulation Game, and the Airplane Flying Handbook. The flying manual is also accompanied with video tutorials and lifetime membership for unlimited support.

To test flying skills, Pro Flight Simulator players can engage in a dogfight with AI-controlled fighter jets. With a network available to connect, a multiplayer game can be launched for more exciting sky battles.

Pro Flight Simulator - Fairchild A-10 Thunderbolt II

When it comes to flight realism, Pro Flight Simulator ranks among the best in the market. A Pro Flight Simulator review further revealed that this product has been used as a learning tool in professional flying schools due to its accurate portrayal of aircrafts and flying environments.

Main Settings

Picking the aircraft of choice is the foremost configuration that you would like to set. With over 120 aircrafts available and growing in number, one will surely fit your preferences. The Pro Flight Simulator planes include the age-old Wright Flyer flown as early as 1903. You can also relive the majestic years of the Fairchild A-10 Thunderbolt II jet aircraft, which was introduced in 1977 and is still currently in service. As a member of the 81st Fighting Squadron, the aircraft is equipped with state-of-the-art weapon systems for attacking ground subjects which proved very invaluable during the Gulf War.

The start airport and runway of the best flight sim session also needs to be specified. You may begin flying from your own familiar city airport or you can explore that of the other countries. Flying with your Fairchild A-10 Thunderbolt II, you can take off from one of the airports in Russia and touchdown in one of the airports in Afghanistan. Alternatively, you can take the beautiful route from Bangkok to Tokyo. With over 20,000 airports and runways to choose from, becoming a virtual jetsetter is a realizable dream with one of the best plane flying games.

Weather conditions, time of day, and other relevant environmental settings can also be configured. On the other hand, real-time synchronization can be enabled. With automatic synchronization, the system clock is the basis for the planetary settings of the flying environment for a more realistic flying experience.

Peripheral Enhancements

Intimidating avionic controls are simplified with friendly control enhancements right from the keyboard. Simplified controls allow you to focus on the flying action by improving on your maneuvering skills instead of spending extra time on getting acquainted with the otherwise complicated buttons. As with other PC flight simulator games, Pro Flight Simulator supports a wide range of joystick configurations with yokes and rudder pedals on the sides.

For a more immersive gameplay, multiple screens can be used with these PC flight simulator games. A highly functional input-output subsystem allows multiple screens to display different views and scenarios of the current flight. Multiple screens are recommended for mockup cockpits to raise realism significantly to a higher level.
